  • The message was trippy... Don't really want to try out any others now.. Was going to search for one that i enjoyed.. But, the pastor was insanely on the money with the recent events in my life..I'm talking like the two days before Sunday..all of the events in my life, he spoke of. Its almost scary.
The scriptures plucked from the Bible, showed on the screen, and each time, the numbers were numbers I use daily in passwords or ones that coincide with purchases i made, or dates that are prevalent in my life.
Is anybody else getting this craziness?
The only thing that i didn't really appreciate, was the sales pitches by the woman, obviously, someones wife, or somehow, a deacon of the church.
I think that everyone knows how to tithe, already. So getting in peoples faces twice was more than enough to make me not want to go the following Sunday.
I felt it was an interruption to the entire vibe of the church, and a put off.
Money is tight, for most..and making two stage appearances in front of ppl in a short period of time, to sell tithing, makes the entire body of the church appear pushy and greedy.
My suggestion to the church, would be to let mrs. Agressive saleslady, inform the visitors and members of the church, that there's several collection boxes in various places of the main sermon area, to place their tithes in, at their convenience, either, before the sermon, or, after. Or... While people are walking out, where the pastor stands, shaking hands, have one there.
Making a big production of needing your money, or, begging, or give, give, give, is a red flag for me.
In the place where ppl go for peace, and salvation from all worldly woes and foes, the objective is ruined by the very essence of worldly possessions and greed.
So, sit down, Mrs. Aggressive Saleslady, and let the sermon reach the community.
Id return with several others, if i were positive that they wouldn't feel badgered and chastised into digging into their hard earned money to build this church into a place where i wouldn't feel comfortable going, in the first place.
if they are in need to keep it going...then, try fundraising.. It will reach others in the community, and get other members involved in personal commitment ..and support for their church.

  • Mosaic makes Jesus and the bible applicable to my life. If you don't like traditional churches, come here. It only lasts an hour, the environment is welcoming, and they have free coffee. WHAAAT??
